Civil or commercial litigation in both high court and magistrate’s court.
Litigation constitutes any matter that goes to court, where the court is required to make an order/decision. Civil litigation includes matters such as collection of outstanding debt, contractual disputes, claims for damages etc. Commercial litigation includes disputes between directors, shareholders and members of companies and close corporations. In civil and commercial litigation there are very specific court processes to follow and there are many mechanisms available that can be used to one’s advantage. These processes are very complex and technical and a comprehensive knowledge of all the relevant aspects are required in order to be an effective and efficient litigant.
